Terms and Conditions

Version 1.1 · Last updated 4 November 2026

Our lawyer is reviewing this page, and Hjezne's company registration in Lebanon is in progress. We'll tell you before any important change. Payments are in test mode: no real money is charged or paid out yet.

In plain words: book and work through Hjezne, agree everything in the order, approve or report on time, and the money moves only as the order says. Payments are in test mode for now.

1. Who runs Hjezne

Hjezne is a marketplace in Lebanon at hjezne.com. Its company registration in Lebanon is in progress; the full legal name, registration number and address will be added here once it's complete. Until then, Hjezne is run by its founders. In these terms, "Hjezne", "we" and "us" mean the operator of the site.

Contact: info@hjezne.com for general and legal questions, support@hjezne.com for help with an order.

These terms are an agreement between Hjezne and everyone who creates an account. If you use Hjezne for a business, you confirm you can bind that business.

2. What Hjezne does, and what it doesn't

Clients use Hjezne (the "Hjoz" side) to find freelancers, book packages, post projects, message, and review deliveries. Freelancers (the "Hjezne" side) offer packages, send offers and deliver the work as independent professionals. A booking is an agreement between the client and the freelancer; Hjezne provides the marketplace, the order records, the delivery checks, support, and the payment instructions described here. We don't do the freelancer's work ourselves.

Launch categories: photography, videography, graphic design, web development, app development, and marketing. Hjezne is for single jobs with a defined result; monthly, ongoing or hourly work isn't allowed.

Profile reviews, ID checks, badges and automatic file checks are limited checks, not guarantees of quality, safety or a particular result. Our role as a platform doesn't remove any responsibility the law gives us.

3. Accounts and verification

You must be at least 18 and able to enter agreements. Use accurate details, one account per person (it has both sides), and keep your login safe. Two-step login with an authenticator app is required for every account, including Google sign-in.

Freelancers are reviewed by our team before their profile goes live, and must link where they get paid first. The "ID checked" badge appears only after our team checks an ID or passport and a selfie. Photographers and videographers also send a criminal record certificate, renewed yearly. Documents are private and deleted once the team has decided.

Don't use extra accounts to get trials, reviews, rewards or lower fees. Tell us quickly at support@hjezne.com if you think someone else used your account.

4. Bookings and the order

A package or project on Hjezne is an invitation to book, not a promise that the freelancer is available. When a client books, both sides agree to the same order: what's delivered, the delivery time, revisions, how payment is released, the cancellation rules and the usage rights. We save that order exactly as agreed (the "order snapshot"). Changing a public profile later doesn't change an order already made.

The freelancer has 24 hours to accept a booking; if they don't, the client gets everything back. A change to scope, price or deadline counts only when both sides accept it in the order. Extras are separate and paid separately; nothing is charged just because it was mentioned in chat.

Approvals and anything that moves money happen only through the buttons on the order, never by a chat message or a call. Messages can still matter as evidence in a report. To keep everyone protected, contact details are hidden in messages before a booking; arranging to work or pay outside Hjezne isn't allowed.

5. Prices, payments and fees

Payments are in test mode today: no real money is charged or paid out. When payments open, money is collected and held by licensed payment providers, not by Hjezne, and released only as the order says. The provider will be named at checkout.

Prices are in US dollars. Before paying, clients see the price, any card fee and the total. Clients paying by card pay a 3.5% card fee; freelancers never pay it. Freelancers pay Hjezne a fee of 7% when a job is completed, then 5% for life after 5,000 reward points. Signing up is free.

Money shown as "held" isn't a bank account or a deposit with Hjezne. Refunds and payouts follow the order, these terms, the law, and the payment provider's arrangement. Card details are entered with the payment provider; Hjezne never receives full card numbers.

6. Delivery, review and release of money

The freelancer delivers through the order. Our system checks the files' real type, size and length. The client then has the review time set in the package (by default 5 days) to approve, ask for changes within the package's revision limit, or report a problem. Revisions run like a chess clock: each side's time only runs on their turn. If the client's time runs out, the delivery counts as approved, subject to any open report and the client's legal rights.

After approval, our team has 72 hours (48 hours for trusted freelancers with the Super Hajez badge, an ID check and no recent problems) to check the delivery against the package before the money is released. If our team finds a problem, we contact the client, who has 2 days to confirm or report it.

Missing items: if at least 80% of the package was delivered, the missing share is refunded automatically; below that, the client chooses between keeping what arrived with the missing share back, or a full refund. Refunds cover missing or late work, not personal taste.

Shoots at the client's location: the freelancer checks in once on arrival (location within about 300 m during the booked time, and a photo). No check-in counts as the freelancer cancelling, with a full refund. If the client must send materials, they have 14 days, or the order is refunded in full.

7. Cancellations, late work and refunds

Each package sets its cancellation rules, shown before booking. If work is more than 1 day late, the client can cancel for a full refund; if nothing is delivered 30 days after the due date, the refund is automatic. Money already released at an agreed stage belongs to the freelancer; money not yet released follows the cancellation rules.

Report a problem on the order and the payment timer pauses while we look at it. We can't always refund at once money that has already been paid out, but that doesn't remove anyone's duty to repay what the law requires. A bank's chargeback decision isn't the final word on the underlying dispute.

8. Hjezne Pro (for freelancers)

Pro costs US$5.99 a month, or US$60 a year, and adds the features listed on the Pro page: more capacity (up to 10 active packages, 30 portfolio items and 20 project proposals a month, against 2, 6 and 10 on Free), your own profile link and cover, project alerts, analytics and campaign links, saved replies and intake questions, a calendar link, and promo codes. Features marked as coming soon aren't part of what you pay for until they're live. Pro billing is in test mode too.

Free keeps the full project feed, messaging, bookings, delivery, ID checks, reviews, Super Hajez eligibility and progress, and the same payment protection and support. Pro doesn't buy a higher place in search, reviews, the ID check or the Super Hajez badge. Analytics count "attributed" enquiries and bookings within 7 days of a campaign-link visit; they're incomplete by nature and don't prove what caused a sale.

Promo codes: a Pro freelancer can give their own clients a code for 5% to 50% off. The discount comes out of the freelancer's price; Hjezne's fee and the card fee are worked out on the lower price. Each client can use a code once, the code's use limit and end date apply, and no price goes below US$5. Codes already given keep working until they end, even if the freelancer leaves Pro.

Cancel any time in Settings; cancelling Pro is separate from deleting your account. When Pro ends, bookings already made carry on unchanged and nothing you published is taken down, but Pro tools (alerts, analytics, the calendar link, new codes, and adding packages beyond the Free limit) stop.

9. Your content and our site

You keep what you own. By uploading, you let Hjezne store, resize, watermark, show and send your content as needed to run the service, keep evidence and enforce these terms. Public profiles and portfolios can appear on Hjezne and in search engines. We ask separately before using your work or your face in our advertising.

Rights in delivered work follow the order. Payment doesn't automatically transfer all copyright, raw files or third-party rights (like music). Only upload material you have permission to use, and don't put a client's private work in a public portfolio without their permission.

Hjezne's software, name and design belong to Hjezne. You may use the site for genuine marketplace activity; don't copy, scrape or misuse it.

10. Fair use, reports and account actions

Don't break the law, harass anyone, post fake reviews or portfolios, share someone's private data, try to pay or get paid outside Hjezne, or attack the site. We may remove content and restrict accounts for real abuse, fraud or serious breaches; unless the law, urgency or an investigation prevents it, we'll tell you why and how to ask for a review. You can block someone, and report profiles, packages, projects, chats and orders.

Our team doesn't read private chats, except Hjezne support chats and a chat while a report about it, or about an order between the two people, is open. Each reading is recorded. Restricting an account doesn't cancel money already earned or a refund owed.

11. Availability and responsibility

We work to keep Hjezne available but can't promise it never goes down. If an outage stops someone from reviewing or delivering, we take that into account for deadlines. Payment providers, Google and other services have their own terms.

Clients and freelancers are responsible for their own agreements and information. Hjezne doesn't promise bookings, earnings, followers or sales. As far as the law allows, we're not responsible for losses caused only by another user or by events outside our reasonable control. This doesn't limit our responsibility for our own fault, fraud or serious negligence, or anything the law doesn't let us exclude.

12. Deleting your account

Ask in Settings → Your data → Delete my account. Our team finishes it within 30 days, once no order is still running; you can cancel until then. Records the law requires us to keep, like payments, are kept only as long as required. See the Privacy Policy.

We may close access for a serious breach, or stop a service with reasonable notice. Paid obligations, refunds owed and records we must keep continue after that.

13. Complaints, law and changes

For an order, use Report a problem on the order or write to support@hjezne.com. For a complaint about Hjezne, write to info@hjezne.com with the order reference and what you'd like us to do. We aim to reply within one working day (Monday to Friday, Beirut time, excluding Lebanese public holidays).

Lebanese law applies, together with any protections the law gives you that can't be waived. Disputes go to the competent courts of Lebanon. Our internal process isn't arbitration and doesn't stop you going to a court, regulator or your bank.

We'll tell you about important changes before they apply, and ask you to accept again when needed. Changes never alter an order already agreed. If one part of these terms can't be enforced, the rest still applies.
